Kristen Stewart goes ultra casual in double-denim while out in LA… after glamming it up in Chanel at the Met Gala

Kristen Stewart clove to an ultra-casual look when she was spotted dashing around Los Angeles this Friday afternoon.

The 33-year-old Twilight star went for a double denim look, teaming a black jacket with a pair of fashionably faded blue jeans.

Her trousers were cheekily torn just under her derriere, adding a splash of personality to her look, which included a simple white t-shirt.

Popping a baseball cap over her dark brown mullet, Kristen rounded off the ensemble with a pair of simple white sneakers over black socks.

Her latest look was a far cry from the high-octane glamor she radiated when she kicked off the month at the Met Gala in New York.

Thrown as always by Vogue capo Anna Wintour, this year’s event was a tip of the hat to the famously waspish late designer Karl Lagerfeld.

Karl’s most celebrated gig was as the top designer for Chanel, a position he held for more than three decades before his death in 2019 at the age of 85.

Kristen was one of the stars who got to wear Chanel to this year’s Met Gala, along with such names as Charlotte Casiraghi, Sofia Coppola and Marion Cotillard.

Charlotte is the socialite granddaughter of Grace Kelly, while Marion was made the face of Chanel No. 5 in 2020 and Sofia interned at Chanel as a teenager.

Meanwhile Kristen was a longtime brand ambassador for Chanel, forming a friendship with Karl in the process.

In the wake of his death, which provoked an outpouring of backlash over his politically incorrect bon mots, Kristen shared her warm memories of him.

‘It’s funny how he presents – so austere and so scary. He wasn’t though,’ Kristen told Vanity Fair. ‘He was incredibly inviting – insanely, shockingly unpretentious.’

Acknowledging his exacting standards, she said: ‘He liked what he liked because he liked it. He was a fancy motherf***er, but it was true to him.’

Kristen mused: ‘It’s almost like he sensed he was intimidating, so he was like: “No. To have a creative heart is daunting, but let’s get it beating faster and harder.”‘

As for matters of the heart in Kristen’s own life, she has been engaged for over a year and a half to the screenwriter Dylan Meyer.

Dylan happens to be the daughter of Nicholas Meyer, who was nominated for an Oscar for adapting the script for the film of his novel The Seven-Per-Cent Solution.

Recent days have seen both father and daughter on the picket line amid the ongoing Hollywood writers’ strike, which began earlier this month.
