Kate Middleton wears electric blue to attend Easter Sunday service

The royal family have been out enjoying the springtime sunshine today, attending an Easter Sunday service. William and Kate, the Prince and Princess of Wales, were joined by their three children – Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis – and pictured arriving at the Easter Mattins Service at St George’s Chapel, Windsor Castle.

Kate stood out in a bright electric-blue outfit for the occasion, pairing a vibrant tailored coat-dress by Catherine Walker – one of her favorite occasion-wear designers – with a matching clutch bag and a pillbox hat. She finished her look with classic nude court shoes and some sapphire and diamond earrings.

When it came to her beauty look, she kept her make-up simple, with glowing skin and a rosy flush, and wore her hair in a half-up, half-down ‘do. Unusually, Kate opted for a classic red manicure – a departure from the nude nails that royal women typically wear.

The Wales family were all color coordinated in varying shades of blue and navy, with Prince Louis in sky-blue shorts, and Princess Charlotte in a navy coat with pale-blue tights. Both Prince William and Prince George wore navy suits and blue ties.

The next few weeks are going to be busy for the family as they prepare for the official coronation of King Charles and Queen Camilla. The double coronation – the first of its kind since that of Queen Elizabeth II’s parents, King George VI and Queen Elizabeth, The Queen Mother, in 1937 – will be a time of celebration marked with a bank-holiday weekend in the UK. The coronation service itself will take place on Saturday 6 May.
