Later-day Saint clothes designer debuts her Dillard’s collection

Jennifer Sumko fell asleep daydreaming about designs for dresses, blouses and pants. But the Latter-day Saint mom of four isn’t just dreaming anymore. Her spring and summer clothing collection is currently available at Dillard’s 250-plus stores across the United States. The 35-piece collection includes dresses, shoes, swimsuits and more. Sumko said she used bright, garden-inspired patterns and colors to invoke feelings of happiness and whimsy. She found additional inspiration in her love for textiles and wallpapers. The collection is also unique because Sumko designed it for compatibility with temple garments — special undergarments worn by adult members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints who have made promises to God in temples. RIYADH: The global food import bill is forecast to reach a record high of $1.98 trillion in 2023, up 1.5 percent from 2022, due to a combination of factors including an increase in international prices and higher volumes, the latest UN report showed. The Food and Agriculture Organization of the UN in its biannual report stated that the anticipated increase in the 2023 bills will happen due to an additional $18.4 billion stemming from higher international prices and $12.9 billion from higher volumes. However, despite this surge, the UN body predicts the world food import bill will grow at a much slower pace compared to last year as demand diminishes.
