Fashion and fine-dining events combine to raise money for Maryvale

A local fashion and fine dining event in Windsor Monday helped to support and advocate for youth mental health. Nico Taverna restaurant on Erie Street hosted the charity Stigma Enigma’s fashion show and dinner fundraiser benefiting Maryvale —a local children’s mental health treatment centre. The stigma Enigma raises funds and advocates for mental health resources in our community, especially for youth. Proceeds from the evening will help Maryvale hire additional mental health professionals to meet the demand for their services. Students in Seneca College’s School of Fashion program held their annual showcase after a three-year hiatus. Redefining Design has been held annually since the 1960s, except for 2020 through 2022 when it was canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Professional models walked the runway wearing students’ designs, ranging from avant-garde and evening wear to contemporary and streetwear.
